I think it would be neat for them to bring back Felicity's town fair outfit and make one for Elizabeth because that seems like a very springish activity.
I remember how they gave Nellie and Samantha their spring dresses shortly after the holidays, and I thought they might do it again with Elizabeth and Felicity. (Or maybe they already did with the tea dresses? Hmmmm.....)

They might bring back back Lissie's town fair dress since they brought back Sam's LE dress. I don't know. But that was a good idea!
Yeah!!! A town fair dress without paying an arm and a leg!!!
I would go for that!
(are you listening, AG??!!)

I hope they DONT bring back the town fair outfit. That's very unfair to the people who bought it as a Limited Edition outfit, thinking it would be retired forever.
Same with Sam's Bathing Suit, they shouldn't have made it so similar, should have changed the colors and everything, if they really wanted her to have a bathing suit.
The only outfit I got when they released the LE outfits in 1997 was Molly's Tennis Outfit. If this ever get's re-released, I will be very, very p.o'ed.
I know a great deal of the people here are new collectors, and think they should allow the newer collectors to get a hold of these outfits, but that's simply not fair to those who bought them as LE, only available for one year, outfits.
I would like to see them do something SIMILAR to Felicity's town fair outfit, with the dress and apron, but not at all the same colors as the original dress. And preferably NOT called "Felicity's Town Fair Outfit."
It was Pleasant Company.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Mattel took over in 1998, I think. I have to wonder if this is why there were no more Limited Edition outfits....I have a question. Was it Pleasant Co in 1997 when the LE outfits were released? Or had Mattel taken over already?
I think it would be nice to spring outfits for them as they had done with Samantha and Nellie.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">VERY possible. I really hope not, though. I still find that unfair, and they will be hearing from me if they re-release the one I have, or anymore, really. Mattle hasn't really done anything to annoy me, but this would be the thing for me. When something is promised for 1 year, and it comes back years later, that's hardly fair. If some other company bought AG from Mattel, I would expect them to not re-release Lindsey, Kailey, Marisol, etc.I wonder if Mattel feels that they can re-release the outfits since it was Pleasant Co. that promised them for only that year? They did put out a new swimming outfit for Sam.
I don't think it would be too hard to come up with a SIMILAR, but not the SAME, outfit. None of them were especially cute, anyway, I'm not sure why everyone wants them so bad, or is it just to "collect them all?"
This would be like in 5 years they brought Lindsey back, so the old Lindsey was a) not unique, and b) not worth anything. I don't think the people who have Lindsay now (especially those who payed 400+ bucks for her on ebay) would like that very much.
I'm sure I'm in a very small minority thinking they shouldn't bring them back, even though I would very much like to get Felicity's Town Fair outfit. It's on ebay quite often, ya it goes for a heckuva lot, but that's only fair. Wish Molly's Tennis Outfit went for more, lol.
I would love to see NEW limited edition outfits. I didn't buy them at the time, they were just to expensive for me, but they were so beautiful.
Mattel doesn't seem to have a problem with limited runs- look how successful the Girl of the Year LE is.
I agree that re-releasing the LE's isn't a good idea. And this is from someone who wished she had spent $28 at the time. I also find it weird that Sam's bathing suit is so close to her LE... but not exactly the same.
